About the Role

Support patient examinations and treatments under physician supervision, performing both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient practice operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient flow and document medical histories, vital signs, medication updates, and test reviews in the EMR.
  • Prepare patient charts and obtain necessary medical information from external sources.
  • Refill and pre-authorize medications.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, including EKG and monitors.
  • Perform phlebotomy, cast removal, and prepare exam rooms with supplies.
  • Answer calls, schedule appointments, check-in/out patients, and complete pre-certifications.
  • Manage work queues within EMR and practice management systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR, scheduling, and office systems required.
  • Clinical skills such as phlebotomy and EKG are highly desirable.
  • BLS certification required; Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Must complete skills orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate professionally.
  • Willingness to travel between offices.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to legal and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates commitment to quality care and patient experience.
