About the role

Certified Nurse Assistant providing direct patient care in home care settings at patients' residences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
• Support transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to promote patient mobility.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals considering dietary needs and preferences.
• Offer companionship and engage patients in activities suited to their interests.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records, report changes in patient condition, and complete documentation via EVV systems.
• Ensure adherence to the Plan of Care, confidentiality, and patient rights.
• Observe and report any abuse, neglect, or safety concerns immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following instructions.
• Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and perform tasks such as bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward patient care.

Additional Information

The role involves travel within a specified area, with no guaranteed hours or assignment length. Equipment used includes blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes, and the aide must demonstrate dependability and adaptability to varied client environments.
