About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant providing home care services in clients' residences, primarily on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care such as personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and oral care.
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Preparing meals considering dietary needs and preferences.
- Offering companionship and engaging clients in activities.
- Performing light housekeeping duties.
- Maintaining accurate records, reporting changes in patient condition, and following care plans.
- Using equipment like blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes, and completing EVV documentation.
- Ensuring confidentiality, respecting patient rights, and reporting concerns such as abuse or neglect.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting approximately 50 lbs.
- Compassionate attitude toward patient care.
