About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant responsible for delivering home care services in patients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
- Complete tasks using EVV app and adhere to care plans, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.
- Assist in promoting client independence within their abilities.
- Follow all policies, including never administering medications, and report any concerns or abuse immediately.
Qualifications
- Maintain valid certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care.
The role involves travel within designated areas, and physical demands vary based on client needs. The position offers flexible caseloads with no guaranteed hours or length of assignment.
