About the role

The Amazon XCM (Cross Channel & Cross Category Marketing) Global Media team is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and self-directed media professional with a passion for numbers and detail. This individual will play a crucial role in developing and executing media plans across various channels, including video, audio, outdoor, digital, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Media Managers to develop fully integrated media plans and implement across relevant media channels.
  • Monitor media campaigns with Media Managers and conduct campaign performance meetings to review and optimize results.
  • Analyze syndicated and proprietary data to determine the optimal media vehicles for reaching targets.
  • Manage budget trackers and PO requests, ensuring timely updates, approvals, and communication of variances.
  • Help facilitate creative and trafficking processes by owning spec sheets, reviews, trafficking sheets, and messaging mapping.
  • Meet with sales representatives to stay updated on the latest media opportunities and drive innovation in channel mix and execution.
  • Collaborate with the media agency to simplify processes and tools for effective scaling of media operations.
  • Show a strong understanding of media fundamentals and build trustworthy relationships with internal business teams, agency partners, and finance teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-channel media strategy and experience leading complex business at an agency or in-house with a large advertiser.
  • A clear understanding of media principles, planning, and buying functions in the US and CA.
  • Experience using industry media planning tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, Comscore, DCM, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Deep knowledge in auction-based media like programmatic and paid social.
