Med Surg RN (Full-Time, Nights)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in a critical access hospital's Medical/Surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across care settings.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree and RN licensure.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
• Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Schedule

Full-time night shifts with rotating weekends, low patient ratios (less than 18 patients on average).
