Med Surg RN (Full-Time, Nights)

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a critical access hospital's Medical/Surgical unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care and education on illness management and medication safety.
• Ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, including cultural and personal preferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than two years preferred for higher education levels.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness, with a focus on safety-sensitive responsibilities.

Schedule

Full-time night shifts with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends. Patient ratios typically less than 5:1 with an average census under 18.
