Med Surg - Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse

About the role

We are seeking an experienced nurse for a travel assignment in a Medical Surgical Unit. The role involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with potential floating to other units and locations. Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Medical Surgical Unit during night shifts.
• Float to other units and locations as needed.
• Work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Comply with documentation requirements and uploads to expedite onboarding.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of recent Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Minimum of 24 months of overall nursing role experience.
• Active Alabama or compact nursing license.
• Valid BLS certification.
• COVID and flu vaccinations.
• References and a valid driver’s license.
• Compliance with gap policies.

Qualifications

• Prior Cerner experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience is a plus.
• Hospital experience and relevant certifications.

Schedule

Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a maximum of 7 days off per assignment.
