About the role
Under a Registered Nurse’s supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients, based on matching the patients’ needs with the LVN’s competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
- Possession of current Texas State License for Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
- AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (EMERGENCY ROOM)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. – Level 2 Nursery: proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (renewal not required)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (BEHAVIORAL HEALTH and EMERGENCY ROOM)
