About the Role

The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility in Hanson, Kentucky, dedicated to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This role operates within a team-centered environment to support that mission.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and operation of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems, and associated equipment.
• Repairs and maintains electrical, plumbing, and sewerage operations.
• Inspects and checks equipment for working performance.
• May be required to handle emergency repairs 24 hours a day.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Formal training in a related field may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint-supported national background check will be conducted prior to employment.

Pay

• Hourly wage: $16.65
• Locality premium: $3.38 per hour
