About the role
Transdev in Xenia, OH is seeking a Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gasoline engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and replacement parts on Fleet of Light Transit Vehicles and Ford Transits - gas engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
- Execute routine preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including assisting with overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Mechanic
- 21 yrs old +
- ASE certifications preferred for new hires - not required to apply. ASE certification program provided with monetary incentive
- Mechanic’s own Tool Set
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent stooping, standing on cement - navigating stairs and working in a shop environment.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors all seasons.
- Assist with Accident Scenes and Road Calls
- Utilize PPE maintaining a safe, clean working environment
- Schedules might change from time to time with seasons
