Mechanic

About the role

This position operates, troubleshoots, repairs, constructs, installs, and maintains mechanical production equipment. It also involves performing quality checks on mechanical machinery, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying all mechanical systems, using precision measuring tools, working with close tolerances, partnering with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity, completing assigned standard operating procedures and documentation, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, construct, install, and maintain mechanical production equipment.
• Perform quality checks on mechanical machinery, as needed.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to maintain a high-speed can manufacturing line.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify all mechanical systems.
• Use precision measuring tools and work with close tolerances.
• Partner with management to improve work area, safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Complete assigned standard operating procedures and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• Trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical diagram knowledge.

Pay

$35.53 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

Schedule

6PM - 6AM on a 2-2-3 Rotating shift. Week 1: Work 36 hours. Week 2: Work 48 hours, which includes OT.
