Precision Tune Auto Care is seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Mechanic / Technician to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, performing routine maintenance, explaining repair needs to customers and teammates, participating in ongoing training, supporting fellow technicians, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to company, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Diagnose and repair systems including brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension, and alignment
- Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire services, etc.)
- Explain repair needs and technical information to customers and teammates
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new vehicle technologies
- Support fellow technicians with complex repairs and troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Follow all company, safety, and environmental procedures
To succeed in this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of automotive repair or mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Other desirable qualifications include a Section 609 Certification and a State Inspection License. You should also possess high energy, a positive attitude, and strong customer focus.
Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching frequently, safely operating vehicles and automotive tools, communicating effectively in person and by phone, and entering and retrieving data from a computer system.
