Mechanic
About the role
Mechanics perform maintenance service on construction vehicles and large equipment and machines.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and repair of small engines, both gas and diesel
- Perform preventative maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels on all equipment
- Maintain inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and part inventories
- Clock in and out for work
- Coordinate work with operations and maintain communication for scheduling repairs and PMs
- Provide after-hours support for critical timelines when needed
- Diagnose and correct electrical problems
- Use of pneumatic tools for construction equipment
- Perform other tasks as requested by leadership
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of construction related equipment
- Existing CDL or ability/willingness to obtain Class A CDL

Schedule
Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
