Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and industrial machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Repair and replace components such as belts, bearings, gears, and hydraulic lines to minimize downtime.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults accurately.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools including welders (including welding), scissor lifts, and industrial lifts for access and repairs.
- Conduct field service activities across the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards for high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Document maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical circuits, hydraulic systems, and mechanical layouts to perform precise repairs.
- Support customer service initiatives by providing technical assistance when needed to internal teams or external clients.
- Assist in training team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance best practices.
Requirements
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within manufacturing facilities or similar environments.
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of industrial electrician practices, high voltage systems, and troubleshooting tools like ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, welding (preferred), and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is highly desirable.
- Ability to read complex schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Experience working with low voltage electrical systems as well as high voltage safety protocols.
- Field service experience in industrial settings or military background is advantageous for this role.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to ensure swift resolution of issues while maintaining safety standards.
