Job Responsibilities
- Aid the Meat Manager in overseeing the Meat Department by writing orders, assigning tasks, and ensuring the department operates efficiently.
- Support customers by offering a variety of meat cuts and filling sales cases through assistance in meat cutting.
- Maintain product levels in sales cases by regularly inspecting stock and preparing items for display.
- Ensure compliance with out-of-stock goals by adhering to established procedures.
- Develop and mentor Team Members, identifying potential for advancement within the Management Development Process.
- Understand and comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performing tasks such as unloading and checking in orders.
- Stock frozen foods and lunch meats in sales cases and unload deliveries in coolers and freezers, ensuring the cold-chain process is maintained.
- Adhere to safety protocols as outlined by the Health Department, HACCP, OSHA, and Banner’s policies and procedures.
- Model and promote food safety and hygiene practices to ensure a safe working environment.
- Engage in suggestive selling techniques and provide food knowledge to both Team Members and customers.
- Conduct interactions with customers and colleagues with integrity, aiming to deliver exceptional service.
- Participate in and support a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floors, and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Meat operations or related fields.
- Prior management experience in Meat operations or related fields.
- Experience in Customer Service.
- Knowledge of Market District meat operational procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret Profit and Loss statements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desired certification or licensing: Meat cutting certification.
Skills

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting financial reports.
