About the role

The Assistant Meat Team Leader supports the Meat Manager in overseeing daily department operations, managing team members, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with ordering raw materials
• Maintaining product levels
• Implementing merchandising strategies to drive business growth and meet customer needs
• Meat cutting and stocking
• Ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP, OSHA, and health regulations
• Maintaining equipment, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Promoting food knowledge and suggestive selling
• Fostering a diverse, inclusive environment
• Supporting team development

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience
• Prior management or customer service background
• Meat cutting certification
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Understanding of profit and loss statements
