Meat Department Lead

Role Overview This position involves leading daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring team training, proper staffing, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals. Key Responsibilities Order and maintain inventory, ensuring product freshness and quality.Cut, weigh, and prepare meats according to standards.Validate received orders and ensure proper storage.Assist in managing staff, production, and stocking tasks, ensuring product quality and safety.Maintain product knowledge, monitor sales and promotional items.Implement work schedules, control labor and payroll expenses, and ensure food safety, safety, and cleanliness standards.Develop plans to meet company KPIs and assist in department forecasting.Lead team development, performance management, and training.Maintain a clean, attractive department, and support guest experience.Perform additional tasks as needed, including cross-departmental support. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED.Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.Basic math skills and computer proficiency.Detail-oriented with knowledge of product suggestive selling preferred. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a retail environment with varied temperatures and noise levels.
