McClure Elementary 21st Century After School Program Teacher

About the Role

Work with identified struggling students who would benefit from small group assistance during guided independent reading/math practice and/or with tutorials.

Participate in all training(s) related to the components of the support you will be implementing. Assist in administering pre- and post-assessments, as appropriate. Work with 21st Century specialists and site supervisor to implement 21st Century programming.

• Assist at district and building level in developing curriculum
• Motivate students as an enthusiastic, creative, and resourceful educator
• Work with students outside the classroom environment (e.g., club advisor, class advisor)
• Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance at all times
• Set and pursue long-range and short-range goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related area
• Washington State Teaching Certificate
• Meet WA State Certification Criteria

Pay

$45.00 per hour or per diem, whichever is lower.

Schedule

• 4 days per week
• 3 hours per day
• Temporary position for the 2026–2027 school year

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.
