Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Warranty Repair Technician is to repair or fix any issues that may be reported by an owner or dealer.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Fair and Finish repairs for final gel coat application and match new finish to existing gel coat.
- Spray gel coat, wet sand and buff to match new finish.
- Spray nonskid gel coat.
- Repair stringers and bulkheads.
- Able to de-rig the electrical and hydraulic systems in the console as well as throughout the vessel.
- Able to troubleshoot and replace basic 12-volt electrical items, such as lights, horns, switches, batteries, chargers etc.
- Able to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policy and hazardous material guidelines.
- Practice good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of one-year related experience and/or training.
- Active driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to travel occasionally based on business need.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Mental Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Physical Demands: Continuous/S = 67-100%, Frequent/F = 33-66%, Occasional/O = 33%, None/N. Sits 1 hours, Stands 8 hours, Walks 1 hours, Drives 0 hours. Employee Lifts and/or Carries: type amount of weight in each area Maximum: 50 (lbs.), Frequently: 25 (lbs.), Occasionally: 40 (lbs.).
