This Materials Coordinator role is fully on-site in Shelbyville and is responsible for accurate receipt, identification, staging, documentation, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods.
Responsibilities
- Validate incoming copper-containing material against the grade and copper percentage purchased; initiate the downgrade process when material does not meet established specifications.
- Stage and ship materials to meet customer requirements.
- Receive, identify, and document raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate loading of material with proper weight distribution.
- Maintain warehouse organization, material traceability, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure transaction accuracy and support safety, quality, and operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility to work in other departments as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Warehouse, shipping/receiving, recycling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift qualification or ability to obtain company forklift certification.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret bills of lading, shipping instructions, labels, weights, material descriptions, and receiving documentation.
- Self-motivated with problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP transactions, barcode or label systems, and common computer applications, or the ability to become proficient through training.
- Ability to perform basic calculations involving weights, quantities, percentages, and material variances.
- Ability to communicate discrepancies and grading decisions clearly and professionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Logistics personnel.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work safely and effectively with limited supervision.

Pay
Starting pay range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Pay schedule: Weekly.
