Position Summary
The Material Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating material and organizing project-related jobs to ensure a consistent and accurate flow of materials to the production area. This role monitors production work orders and notifies management of shortages. They also assist in cycle counting inventory and picking orders for regular production.
Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the Production Supervisor and Production Planning to complete and monitor projects, parts orders, work orders, and purchase orders.
- Report shortages and resolve them.
- Review jobs, tasks, and suffixes in CSI to ensure proper issuance, assignment, and closure.
- Attend weekly production/project review meetings.
- Maintain material pick lists and shortage lists, prioritize expediting efforts, and provide weekly progress updates.
- Ensure jobs, suffixes, and tasks align with job locations and maintain the Job Cart area.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in dedicated warehouses.
- Assist with pick activity, scanning, removing parts, and notifying the Warehouse Lead of discrepancies.
- Complete cycle counts, maintain a clean workplace, and suggest improvements.
- Participate in cross-training programs and provide updates/improvement ideas.
Additional Requirements
- Assist with stock transfers, discrepancies, and cycle counting.
- Update documentation and work instructions.
- Train new employees on processes, standards, and work instructions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Focus in a busy and distracting environment.
- Knowledge of P&IC techniques.
- Basic understanding of MRP principles.
- High energy, good attitude, resourcefulness, and strong sense of urgency.
- Proficient computer skills, including navigating multiple systems and software applications.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to communicate with others.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Physical abilities to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, and operate machinery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in production management or supply-chain discipline.

- Exposure to manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.
- Exposure to loud noise, fumes, and toxic chemicals.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, and operate machinery.
