About the role
The role of Material Handler, General Assistant directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive delivery notes from suppliers or carriers for components delivered to the warehouse.
- Verify the accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders.
- Update the warehouse management system with received quantities, part numbers, and other relevant information.
- Maintain accurate records and conduct regular stock counts.
- Reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
- Transfer materials from the warehouse to the production line based on production requirements.
- Update the system with details of material transfers.
- Track the movement of inventory to ensure availability for production.
- Transfer materials to the production line as per production schedules.
- Ensure the production line has the necessary materials for manufacturing processes.
- Record material consumption in the corresponding module (mho-hub-dtr) of the system for accurate tracking.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of warehouse management/administration experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for data entry, document creation, and basic data analysis.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to update inventory records, track material movements, and generate reports.
- Strong command of the English language to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to read and understand delivery notes, inventory reports, and other documentation in English.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory records, track material transfers, and coordinate warehouse activities.
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Experience in working collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
- Ability to manage personnel effectively, delegate tasks, and provide support to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Strong teamwork skills to foster a positive work environment and promote cooperation among warehouse staff.
- Experience in driving is an essential function of the job.
- Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Proactive identification and mitigation of potential safety hazards.
- Proper use of applicable safety equipment, including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats.
- Communication of safety and job-related information, following safety instructions, and collaborating with English-speaking supervisors and team members.
