Material Handler - General Labor

About the role

Wolverine Solutions Group is expanding our team to support our full-service document management company, specializing in direct mail production and document management services. We provide customized, cutting-edge solutions for document execution, both hard copy and electronic, for local and national markets.

Responsibilities

• Support all areas by continually stocking workstations with proper materials for each job.
• Work with supervisors, warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel to transport materials before, during, and after jobs.
• Respond promptly and courteously to requests for additional materials.
• Confirm stock codes to ensure correct material usage.
• Weigh and verify receipt of customer goods per customer requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation control through accurate data input and following receiving procedures.
• Day shift stock personnel must request adequate supplies for the afternoon shift.
• Ensure each skid of completed material is correctly identified.
• Transport all overstock to designated areas immediately after job completion.
• Work cooperatively with area supervisors to achieve maximum production.
• Operate hand and electric-powered pallet jacks.
• Perform general cleanup of work areas.
• Package and prepare fulfillment deliveries per packing slip.
• Assist with UPS shipping and act as backup.
• Follow rules and regulations outlined in the Associate Handbook.
• Proactively assist supervisors, monitor quality, and communicate effectively with management regarding production issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of factory-related experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
• Close, distance, and adjustable vision abilities.
• Neat appearance and constructive, open-minded attitude.
• Willingness to use initiative to achieve 100% customer satisfaction.
