Marketing Director - Life Sciences
Accountabilities
The Marketing Director - Life Sciences will be responsible for creating and delivering integrated marketing strategies that support organizational growth, strengthen industry presence, and generate measurable business impact. This role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational excellence, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
Partner with executive leadership, sales, operations, and cross-functional teams to drive thought leadership, pipeline generation, and strategic marketing initiatives.
Lead integrated marketing programs covering brand strategy, digital marketing, website optimization, SEO/SEM, social media, content development, and demand generation campaigns.
Transform complex scientific and technical information into clear, differentiated, and audience-focused messaging while maintaining accuracy and credibility.
Manage external communications initiatives, including media relations, conferences, industry events, partnerships, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities.
Leverage analytics, reporting tools, and AI-powered marketing technologies to improve campaign performance, personalization, efficiency, and return on investment.
Guide marketing investments, vendor relationships, and strategic priorities while contributing to long-term market growth and competitive positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business, Communications, or a related field required; advanced degree such as MBA, MSc, PhD, or similar is preferred.
- 8-12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in Life Sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical communications, or related industries.
- Proven experience leading brand strategy, digital marketing, demand generation, and communications initiatives.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to measure and optimize marketing performance.
- Excellent strategic thinking, project leadership, and execution capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling and content development expertise.
- Experience with digital marketing, social media strategy, CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled marketing tools.
- Experience supporting global marketing initiatives and collaborating with cross-regional teams.
- Demonstrated experience translating technical and scientific concepts into impactful messaging for diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of emerging marketing technologies and AI-driven marketing innovation.
