About the role
We are seeking a Designer to join our Communications & Design team in our San Diego office. This role requires a highly organized, proactive designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and elevate brand standards across a wide range of print and digital platforms, ensuring consistency and high design standards.
- Conceptualize and design impactful marketing and communications materials, including presentations, brochures, flyers, email campaigns, digital assets, and templates.
- Translate complex information into clear, compelling visual storytelling and information graphics.
- Develop materials supporting tenant experience initiatives, including environmental graphics, wayfinding, and signage.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and the Design Director to create executive-level PowerPoint presentations for a wide range of audiences.
- Support planning and execution of photo and video shoots to capture building and brand assets.

- Coordinate ARE presence at events, including premier industry conferences and high-visibility tenant events.
- Manage projects from concept through final delivery, maintaining quality standards and clear stakeholder communication throughout.
- Partner with external vendors, including print and production partners, to ensure successful execution of marketing projects.
- Develop tools, templates, and workflows that improve efficiency and strengthen brand consistency across departments.
- Maintain and organize the brand asset and content library.
- Balance multiple priorities and confidently re-prioritize as business needs evolve in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of professional design experience.
- B2B experience required.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design, presentation work, and information graphics.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- After Effects and Premiere are a plus.
- Professional-level expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Exceptional typography, layout, and information design skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization abilities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and openness to feedback; Experience working with senior-level executives a plus.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and strong follow-through.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new tools, software, and AI technologies to enhance workflow and creative output.
