About the role
The CIEE Global Navigator High School Study Abroad programs have been growing exponentially in the past 10 years. This new Coordinator position will support the Community Engagement Manager as our engagement strategy is growing in scope and ambition to include a broader set of champions like Program Leaders, Parents of Alumni or International Exchange Students.
Responsibilities
- Support HSOB Sales Team with alumni meetings and presentations
- Source alumni or ambassadors to co-present with CIEE staff in their school community to maximize their impact
- Host weekly presentation preparation refresher workshops with alumni before they present in schools
- MEDIATE COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN CIEE SALES TEAM AND ALUMNI, INCLUDING PROVIDING THE SALES TEAM WITH THE AMBASSADORS’ SLIDES FOR PRESENTATION
- Ensure that referral links are always readily available for in-school presentations
- CORPORATE AND DELIVER VIRTUAL TRAININGS FOR OUR AMBASSADORS
- CURATE AND DISTRIBUTE MATERIALS TO EQUIP AMBASSADORS
- CORPORATE CENTRAL COMMUNICATIONS WITH AMBASSADORS THROUGH EMAIL, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND TEXT MESSAGING
- DEVELOP AND PROMOTE MONTHLY REFERRAL AND ENGAGEMENT CONTESTS AND COMMUNICATE WITH WINNERS
- HOST MONTHLY WEBINARS WITH AMBASSADORS
- COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES (BROADER ALUMNI BASE AND CHAMPIONS)
- DEVELOP AND SEND MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS TO CHAMPIONS
- SOURCE, PACKAGE AND CURATE ALUMNI AND CHAMPION STORIES IN THE FORM OF BLOGS, INTERVIEW CLIPS, PHOTO GALLERIES, PODCASTS ETC. TO CONTRIBUTE TO CIEE’S CONTENT PLAN AND ENRICH ALUMNI SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEB PRESENCE
- CREATE PRE-PACKAGED MARKETING MATERIALS THAT ALUMNI AND PARENTS CAN CUSTOMIZE TO PROMOTE CIEE PROGRAMS AND SCHOLARSHIPS IN THEIR COMMUNITY
- HELP TO PLAN AND COORDINATE THE GLOBAL NAVIGATOR VIRTUAL FAIR, INCLUDING CREATING ZOOM MEETINGS AND COMMUNICATING WITH PRESENTERS, DEVELOPING PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL FOR THE FAIR AND MODERATING PANELS
- Pilot in-person events to gather ambassadors, parents of alumni or program leaders with local youth
- OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management or related field
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working with U.S. teens
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with web-based applications for virtual events and project management/collaboration (i.e. Zoom, Asana, Teams, etc.)
- Experience in basic graphic design and fluency in the Adobe Software suite (specifically, InDesign, Photoshop) or Canva
- Experience with simple video editing (iMovie, Premiere, Windows Movie Maker) a plus
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative problem-solving with a “can-do mentality”
- Flexible, change-embracing in a rapidly evolving work and market environment
- Ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders
