Job Description
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in communications, marketing/advertising, or journalism
Related Work Experience and Other Skills: Required: 2 to 5 years working in marketing, public relations, or a similar field.
Excellent writing skills for both internal and external audiences.
Project management experience with an ability to organize multiple projects at once.
Strong people skills for interacting with community leaders and internal stakeholders.
Understanding of graphic design and print processes.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy.
Highly experienced with Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
High level of comfort with email software, CMS website tools, social media software and other web-based technologies.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong drive for both excellence, organization, accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred, but not required: CRM experience.
Healthcare experience.
Job Roles (Duties)
- Aid the Director, Brand Marketing in developing and coordinating paid marketing campaigns, including traditional, digital, and social media. Coordinate assets and approvals with agency partners within specified deadlines.
- Manage internal initiatives and campaigns as assigned. This may involve assisting internal department leaders with marketing/creative requests, coordinating with designers and print shops, or writing for newsletters and print collateral.
- Support website and form updates, execute email campaigns, and, as needed, write content for Methodist Health System’s internal and external campaigns and digital entities, including website content, newsletters, social media, and emails.
- Contribute to community relations initiatives at various hospital campuses, as needed.
- Set up campaign tracking, perform list pulls, and generate reports.
- Build and maintain key relationships within the hospitals and Methodist Health System to ensure current, in-depth knowledge of services and key events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
