About the role
The Marketing Program Coordinator supports a dynamic client site in Research Triangle Park/Durham, NC, focusing on blending creativity with administrative excellence to coordinate projects and contribute to fitness-focused programs.
Responsibilities
- Develops, coordinates, manages, implements, and evaluates recreation and fitness programs within specified program areas to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
- Safeguards the proper training and certification of staff.
- Fosters alignment between programs and client business needs, employee culture, and corporate health strategies.
- Coordinates marketing efforts to maximize outreach and engagement; develops and distributes promotional materials.
- Gathers and measures program outcomes data; evaluates and reports on program effectiveness; makes recommendations for enhancements or modifications.
- Involves in business planning and budgeting processes related to program and service offerings.
- Provides individual and group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to ensure exercise safety and effectiveness.
- Performs other staff responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Exercise Science, Recreation, Kinesiology, or related field and 1+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- OSHA compliant Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute by start date.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, coordinating, and delivering effective programs, including budgeting, marketing, and promotions.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.
Qualifications
- NCCA-Accredited and HealthFitness approved Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor certification (not required).
