Responsibilities

  • Create conceptual approaches and copy solutions to promote products and services to increase member engagement, branding recognition and market penetration goals.
  • Collaborate with business clients and marketing staff to understand and accurately translate marketing communications into clear, cohesive, concise and effective communications pieces for campaigns and various media.
  • Provide consultative editorial/development services to clients to ensure appropriate copy solutions are used, content accuracy, and grammar consistency in style and image.
  • Provide creative solutions for marketing campaigns, product launches and other initiatives.
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the product owner’s products, goals and business objectives.
  • Analyze quality of work through review of marketing summaries/metrics to determine if copy materials/methodologies were effective, produced the desired results, or need to be changed.
  • Make presentations to stakeholders and management on marketing campaign initiatives, outlining objectives, action plans, and results.
  • Contribute to the development of web content marketing strategy to include links within web sites, emails and other digital channels.
  • Maintain and submit updates to product information on sites to ensure information accuracy, compliance with corporate marketing plan, regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Ensure communications content allows for latest SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) capabilities to support market penetration and align with marketing strategic initiatives.
  • Implement industry best practices for readability, compliance with ADA standards and success metrics.
  • Tailor all communications by channel and according to strategy.
  • Champion the brand; create, contribute, implement, update brand style guides, messaging documents and preparedness communications.
  • Ensure communications and brand tone and voice are appropriate for all member-facing communications.
  • Educate internal stakeholders and outside vendors on brand standards.
  • Review projects/vendor performance to ensure schedules/deadlines are met, quality is high, and brand standards are met.
  • Initiate creation of messaging documents and brand guides and communicate to management; work to align communication throughout credit union.
  • Support in the management of marketing editorial calendar.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including budget analysis and planning.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing, advertising, direct response, and corporate communications principles.
  • Experience in copywriting, communications, editing, and proofreading.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing, advertising, direct response and corporate communications principles and communications production processes.
  • Advanced research, analytical, and concept organization skills.
  • Ability to articulate findings in oral/written presentations of creative work to various audiences.
  • Experience managing/leading multiple projects, resolving conflicting requests, meeting changing requirements/priorities and accomplish marketing goals.
  • Advanced organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in order to achieve project goals.
  • Advanced relationship management skills to gain confidence/cooperation of various levels of staff/management, vendors and clients and obtain consensus.
  • Experience with word processing and editorial applications software.
