About the role
The Market Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing critical information that enables commercial real estate clients to make informed, high-impact business decisions daily. As a Market Manager Field Leads, you will lead a team of Field Lead Researchers responsible for investigating and profiling new market opportunities. This role supports owners, brokers, and real estate professionals in identifying market exposure best suited for their buildings. This position is in-office Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 9+ Associate Research Consultants to deliver comprehensive, accurate, and complete commercial real estate market opportunity coverage to CoStar clients.
- Foster a strong team culture and dynamic, providing regular coaching and development opportunities.
- Ensure continuous delivery of timely, comprehensive, and accurate information while maintaining the highest standard of customer service.
- Conduct regular call evaluations, training, and mentoring sessions to improve team performance.
- Coach and guide team members to produce meaningful telephone interactions through effective questioning, listening, probing, and information sharing.
- Develop individual development plans tailored to skills, competency, and career growth to build a center of excellence.
- Prepare monthly executive reporting updates highlighting workflow, process, and strategy.
- Collaborate with photography and field research departments to identify key opportunities in each market.
- Conduct audits to ensure real-time data is being used by clients to make investment decisions.
Requirements
- External applicants:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of 6 or more individuals.
- 2+ years of experience in a professional, corporate environment.
- 2+ years of experience within commercial real estate.
- Internal applicants:
- Bachelor’s degree required, coupled with experience as a Senior Researcher or Principal Researcher.
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industry.
- Experience creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics; results-oriented.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including prioritizing and controlling team workload, coaching, and mentoring.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build cohesive teams through influence and motivation.
- Experience articulating and executing corporate strategy with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, filtering, and developing basic formulas (assessment required).
- Creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, objectivity, and strategic thinking.
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly.
- Ability to interact at all levels and establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

Pay
Base compensation: $100,000 annually.
