Field Sales Market Manager

This role is remote with the expectation to relocate to the territory. Potential territories covered in this posting include: New York Metro Area (NY), Connecticut (CT), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Massachusetts (MA), District of Columbia (DC), Maryland (MD), North Carolina (NC), New Jersey (NJ), Pennsylvania (PA), South Carolina (SC), Tennessee (TN), and Virginia (VA).
Function Overview
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Market Manager in the East Region Market. For this Field-based role, you will be responsible for operations, merchandising, displays, training, co-marketing, contract pipeline, and more. You will grow margin, revenue, share and volume with Retail and Builder accounts in the region.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to sales team success by sharing market and competitive information
- Deliver revenue, margin, and share goals (quota is based on profit targets)
- Develop relationships with existing and potential new trade customers
- Negotiate and close profitable sales; prospecting and market development
- Train trade partners on the merits of Whirlpool Corporation's products
- Prepare and renew quotes for specific projects
- Trade association leadership
- Merchandise trade customer floors
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of sales experience
Preferred Requirements
- Sales Experience - Preferably selling to appliance retailers or distributors
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Exceptional communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills
- Insatiable appetite to meet and exceed revenue, profit, and volume goals
- Prioritize sales success and self-starter with the ability to develop and drive sales strategy
- Dynamic motivator/leader Challenger mentality

- Solid knowledge of professional sales process and insights-driven selling
- Comprehensive knowledge of products and brands
- Strong familiarity with the retail distribution channel
- Very strong understanding of the contract distribution channel in the single-family, multi-family and authorized contract distributor segments
- In-depth intelligence on competitors
Pay
$70,375.27 - $84,753.02 per year
