The leader is responsible for providing development and mentorship to foster professional growth and career advancement for branch managers and team members. The role requires a strategic and results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the financial services industry, a member-first mindset, strong ability to develop and execute market-specific strategies, commitment to supporting community, and proactively bringing new ideas to better the organization and enhance overall member service.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a member of the Retail leadership team, collaborating and contributing to the successful creation and execution of the Retail business strategy, brand reputation and growth.
- Delivers a member focused experience, consistently across the region, that personifies the brand standards and drives member loyalty.
- Cultivates relationships within the community supporting our multi-cultural strategy and establishes the credit union as trusted partner in local initiative, financial education programs and outreach efforts.
- Recruit, train and develop a high-performing team of Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, and Relationship Specialists by providing coaching and mentorship to foster professional growth and career advancement.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, continuous improvement, leveraging the credit unions Leadership Competencies.
- Oversee all operational aspects of branches withing the region, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain branch performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implement corrective action, as necessary.
- Collaborate cross functionally to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Complies with all record keeping requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Provide regional support to President of Chartway Promise Foundation for requisite community contribution growth and impact in region.
Requirements
- Knowledge of credit union operations and retail delivery services and systems.
- Ability to successfully coach and develop team members regarding credit union procedures and responsible for monthly audit reviews.
- Leaders will work with branch management on correction of audit findings and procedure and processing errors.
- Build, lead, and manage a team of high-performing professionals to ensure alignment and coordination with organizational goals across member-facing market teams.
- Consistently review NPS scores to promote member-centric behaviors and consistency across each branch.
- Drive revenue growth, increase market share, and ensure the achievement of financial goals within the market.
- Utilize analytics and performance evaluation using data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize ROI.
- Active participant in annual budget for market and monthly forecast.
- Ability to successfully lead and motivate assigned teams through regular weekly branch visits.
- Ability to coach, mentor and provide timely feedback for assigned team members and conduct Individual Development Plans (IDP).
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Allocate time to identify, establish and maintain relationships with external partners who enhance our visibility, brand reputation and community involvement.
- Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to continuously gain market and industry insight.
- Proven record of establishing and adhering to high standards and identified leader competencies.
- Ability to manage multiple locations to include all facets of branch operations, cash management, retail staffing, operational efficiencies, and member service; and successfully manage transactions of complex financial services.
- Willing to travel as needed.
- Ability to communicate in a polished and professional manner with team members and members.
- Proven record of establishing and adhering to high standards.
- Ability to create and deliver a formal professional proposal / request regarding assigned retail responsibilities.
- Ability to comply with all state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Approximately five to seven years of demonstrated progression in job related experience.
- High degree of experience with automated teller technology (preferably Core Operating System platforms).

Benefits

Pay
$90,000 - $123,000 annually ($3,461.54 - $4,730.76 bi-weekly salary) (Higher compensation may be considered based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity)
