Brief Description
Bluebird Fiber is a premier fiber telecommunications provider in the Midwest. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position in our Kansas City Office.
Responsibilities
- Own and champion the Bluebird Fiber brand across all internal and external touchpoints.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, generate demand, and support revenue growth.
- Ensure brand consistency across digital platforms, offices, events, collateral, signage, apparel, and customer communications.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen and evolve the Bluebird Fiber story and market positioning.
- Develop and implement digital marketing and lead-generation programs focused on reaching targeted B2B audiences.
- Partner closely with Sales leadership to create qualified pipeline opportunities and support revenue objectives.
- Measure and optimize campaign performance using data-driven marketing practices.
- Create and manage sales enablement tools, collateral, presentations, and customer-facing materials.
- Serve as a true business partner to the Sales organization, taking pride in helping the team achieve its goals.
- Maintain full ownership of website strategy, content, messaging, and user experience.
- Oversee SEO, paid media, email marketing, content marketing, social media, and digital advertising initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate emerging marketing technologies and best practices to improve performance and efficiency.
- Educate and mentor internal teams on effective digital marketing strategies and lead-generation techniques.
- Plan and execute customer events, industry conferences, trade shows, executive briefings, and community engagement opportunities.
- Develop event strategies that strengthen customer relationships, support sales efforts, and enhance brand visibility.
- Manage event budgets and measure return on investment.
- Manage relationships with marketing agencies, creative partners, printers, promotional suppliers, and other vendors.
- Hold external partners accountable for performance, deliverables, quality, and results.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize value and ensure responsible use of company resources.
- Manage company-branded apparel programs and vendor relationships supporting employee clothing and uniform needs.
- Partner with Human Resources to support employee engagement, culture-building, and internal communications initiatives.
- Assist in planning and executing annual employee meetings, company celebrations, recognition programs, and other internal events.
- Use branding, communications, and events as tools to strengthen company culture and employee pride.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team of three while fostering accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Build a culture of learning, collaboration, and execution excellence.
- Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.
- Develop and manage the marketing budget with a strong focus on efficiency, accountability, and measurable results.
- Evaluate expenditures carefully and steward company resources as if they were your own.
- Ensure investments align with strategic priorities and deliver meaningful business impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Experience directly managing team is required.
- Proven success in B2B marketing, demand generation, and sales enablement.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, lead generation, CRM systems, marketing automation, and analytics.
- Experience planning and executing trade shows, customer events, and corporate events.
- Demonstrated ability to manage agencies, vendors, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
