Market Development Manager
This role is a critical member of the Global Partners Fuels Marketing team, reporting to the Senior Director of Fuels Marketing. We are seeking candidates based in Tampa, FL, though flexibility may be considered depending on qualifications and established book of business. This position requires moderate travel within the state of Florida.

Responsibilities
- Conduct industry and market research to identify prospective Dealer Owned Service Station (DOSS) opportunities and develop effective sales strategies that drive profitable growth.
- Prospect and sign new DOSS accounts throughout the assigned Southeast market.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Credit, Legal, Supply, Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders to evaluate and execute new business opportunities.
- Prepare and present professional proposals and commercial offers to prospective customers.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, including leads, opportunities, proposals, anticipated closings, and customer activity.
- Act as a primary liaison between dealer customers and the company, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company standards and expectations.
- Monitor competitive activity, market developments, and customer feedback, and communicate relevant opportunities and risks to leadership.
- Develop, maintain, grow, and renew strong dealer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase volume and profitability.
- Solicit and negotiate long-term branded and unbranded fuel supply agreements that support profitable and sustainable growth.
- Develop financial models and evaluate opportunities based on volume, CPG, EBITDA, IRR, and other key investment criteria.
- Obtain prospective customer financial information and coordinate credit applications, due diligence, and internal approvals.
- Lead the onboarding of new dealer accounts and coordinate brand imaging to ensure a seamless transition and long-term success.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of growth opportunities aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Develop and track key performance indicators and provide regular updates on pipeline activity, sales performance, market trends, and business development results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven record of sales growth.
- Experience in business development, fuel sales, customer relationship management, or a related commercial field.
- Strong knowledge of the fuels value chain and the retail and wholesale fuel markets.
- Exceptional project management skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop and evaluate investment business cases.
- Proven sales, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Travel throughout the Southeast market with overnight stays as necessary.
- Educational background in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $89,600.00 - $134,400.00. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
