About the Role

This role focuses on setting up, operating, monitoring, and controlling manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes in a regulated environment. The Manufacturing Technician supports production goals by executing the production schedule, maintaining clean and compliant manufacturing, filling, and packaging areas, and ensuring accurate documentation. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and environmental requirements, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven setting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and control manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes to support production activities.
  • Clean and sanitize manufacturing, filling, and packaging rooms and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Execute the production schedule to meet established production goals and timelines.
  • Handle labeling and components correctly, including transferring, counting, applying FIFO (First-In, First-Out), managing returns, and ensuring proper traceability.
  • Actively participate in and support event response activities, including identifying issues and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Review and author SOPs and other required documents to support continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Identify, report, and help resolve quality issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Execute and/or assist with equipment maintenance activities, including restoration of lost function, predictive maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Train fellow employees in areas of personal expertise while continuously learning new systems and equipment outside of current expertise, as appropriate to experience and skill level.
  • Record and review production data in batch production records (BPR) and associated forms to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements while performing daily duties to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Perform other related accountabilities and tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or other regulated environment.
  • Experience in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing operations.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and stay on task throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and component handling.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with consistent presence on scheduled workdays.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and written instructions accurately.
  • Capability to support and adhere to safety and environmental requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to train others and to learn new systems and equipment.

Additional Skills

  • Biowork or similar training is acceptable and considered relevant experience.
  • Comfort working in a regulated manufacturing environment with GMP expectations.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and support event response.
  • Ability to contribute to the authoring and review of SOPs and other documentation.
  • Mechanical aptitude to assist with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and restoration of function.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role with a day-shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position is based in a regulated manufacturing environment that may include cleanroom or controlled areas, filling lines, and packaging rooms. Work involves operating and maintaining production equipment, following GMP standards, and adhering to strict safety and environmental requirements. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, requiring consistent attendance, focus, and adherence to established procedures and documentation practices.

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $21.74 - $21.74/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
