About the role
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical or systems.
Responsibilities
- Complete tests, measurements, operations and process controls.
- Perform technical duties on functional work group projects.
- Use test techniques and procedures for key cell projects.
- Maintain production tools and equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose product, process or program defects and repair them.
- Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; perform wire preparation, stripping and crimping; perform harness repair and termination; use pertinent manual hand tools.
- Maintain skills in electronics, hydraulics and mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and programming.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- IPC 610 certification a plus, but not required.
- 3 years Electro-Mechanical Technician experience.
Key Skills & Abilities
- Mechanically inclined individual.
- Able to use electric test equipment such as meters, power supplies, etc.
- Able to follow procedures and processes.
- Able to assess test results based on specifications.
- Soldering capabilities preferred.
- Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task to run multiple test and calibration equipment at the same time.
