About the role

The Manufacturing Tech performs complex mechanical integration on high-value solder modules for turn-key and customer-supplied products, emphasizing quality assurance and careful handling in the Solder Lab.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate feedthrus, cap feeds, heli coils, studs, connectors, and other components into solder modules per customer/engineering specifications, ensuring high-quality handling and visual inspections.
  • Set up and run appropriate furnace profiles for soldering processes.
  • Operate Branson Ultrasonic cleaning system, Cincinnati Sub-Zero Temperature Chamber, Leak Testeer, and High Pot Tester.
  • Verify prints, picking tickets, and associated paperwork for accuracy.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for fixturing in automation, integration, and inspection.
  • Perform rework on modules using the rework station and document processes.
  • Troubleshoot integration process issues and document changes for feedback to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain awareness of production schedules and issues.
  • Follow all standard safety procedures and precautions.
  • Participate in Perf(x), lean, and 5s+1 team projects for product and process improvements.
  • Understand and adhere to ISO and AS expectations for the integration process and workflow.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three or more years of manufacturing mechanical assembly experience.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, or C for data acquisition and control.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent productivity suites.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
