About the role

The Manufacturing Project Manager (MPM) is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and manufacturing processes of complex structures and mechanisms within the CCS Structures/Mechanisms division at Lockheed Martin.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of projects while staying within budget constraints.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external partners to ensure quality materials and services are provided.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and provide feedback to team members to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 9001 and ASME codes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in manufacturing and project management.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with project risk management and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Pay

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
