About the role
The Manufacturing Project Manager (MPM) is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and manufacturing processes of complex structures and mechanisms within the CCS Structures/Mechanisms division at Lockheed Martin.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery of projects while staying within budget constraints.
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external partners to ensure quality materials and services are provided.
- Conduct regular progress reviews and provide feedback to team members to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 9001 and ASME codes.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in manufacturing and project management.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience with project risk management and mitigation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Pay
- Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
