About the role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. This individual will bring strong leadership, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to manage performance in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate thrives on coaching teams, solving problems, and continuously improving processes to meet both customer and organizational expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production teams to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency targets
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor workflow to align staffing and resources with production schedules
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, EHS standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Drive communication and accountability through tier meetings, shift start-up meetings, and performance reviews
- Coach, develop, and support team members through training, feedback, and performance management
- Address attendance, behavioral, and performance concerns in alignment with company policies

- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and lead continuous improvement initiatives (safety, quality, delivery, efficiency)
- Promote and sustain 5S, waste reduction, and process standardization efforts
- Ensure proper equipment use, maintenance coordination, and timely escalation of issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Warehouse teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment
- Document production activities, complete shift reports, and ensure accurate system transactions
- Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts as needed
- Perform additional duties to support business operations as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems
- Excellent leadership and team development capabilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production/reporting systems
- Knowledge of Lean principles, including 5S and continuous improvement
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience supervising in multi-shift environments
- Led in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience with ERP or MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, Plex)
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
- Experience leading safety, quality, or productivity improvement initiatives
- Background in high-volume or high-precision manufacturing environments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
