About the role

Our Clark, NJ location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. The facility has two buildings: the North building produces natural flavorings and essential oils, while the South building produces seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheets using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality.
  • Product formulation from raw materials, including:
    • Compounding various liquid formulas and preparing emulsions.
    • Milling materials according to batch sheet instructions.
    • Calculating supplemental ingredients and issuing materials via SAP.
  • Blending:
    • Adjusting scales based on batch sheets to fill required weights of boxes/drums.
    • Following product-specific requirements for filling.
  • Sealing & Stacking:
    • Operating MTEK sealer to vacuum seal filled liners.
    • Ensuring finished packaged products meet company standards and arranging them on pallets in a predetermined sequence.
  • Sanitation:
    • Adhering to SOP instructions to clean and sanitize equipment and rooms.
  • Packaging of Finished Product:
    • Properly labeling all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.
    • Utilizing inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used.
  • Adhere to Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) to maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain processing equipment.
  • Handle allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures.
  • Ensure conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual; report deviations to management and QA, and set aside affected product until further instructed.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in SAP is a plus.

Pay

$24.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential for 3rd shift.

Schedule

3rd shift – 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, following a rotating 12-hour Panama night shift schedule:

  • Repeats every two weeks: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off.
  • Supports 24/7 operations with predictable time off and every other weekend off.
