Compounder Operator 3rd Shift - Clark, NJ

About the role

The Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility consists of two buildings. The North building produces natural flavorings and essential oils, which have a fruity scent. The South building specializes in seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy, with a savory and garlic aroma.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheets using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality.
• Product Formulation: Compounding various liquid formulas and preparing emulsions used in product formulas.
• Operation, Cleaning, and Maintenance of processing equipment.
• Basic Understanding of Phoenix technology.
• Understanding and performing picking and staging.
• Understanding water systems (DI, RO etc).
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior knowledge of filtration technologies is a plus.
• Properly label all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.
• Utilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used.
• Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures.
• Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual.
• Must report any and all deviations to a member of management and QA- and set product aside until further instructed.

Qualifications and skills

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience within the Flavor or a closely related industry.
• Proficient in compounding techniques and raw materials.
• Proficient in the use of scales and other compounding and filling equipment.
• Able to work overtime as needed and be flexible with working hours.

Working Environment

Factory environment with exposure to flavor, and basic product chemicals and raw materials.

Compensation
