Filling Operator 3rd Shift - Clark, NJ
About the role
The Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique with two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell, producing natural flavoring and essential oils. The South building has a savory and garlic smell, producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy. Located at 160 Terminal Ave, Clark, NJ 07066.
Key responsibilities
- Filling Operator/3rd shift
- Primary Purpose: Packs and labels all batches in preparation for shipment to customer or for movement to warehouse/general stock.
- Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for filling all batch containers at the proper weights and in proper containers.
- Marks all containers with the necessary LPN labels.
- Ensures that all paperwork (Compounding Log) is filled out correctly and all filling instructions are followed for each order.
- Applies working knowledge related to safe evacuating of product from all tanks.
- Fills out daily scale logs on all scales to be used prior to start of shift.
- Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Maintains inventory information on filling materials and reports any shortages to supervisor.
- Follows directions as needed to complete order in a timely fashion.
- Must be able to operate pumps, mixers, filters, lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Properly handles Allergen products and Equipment.
- Maintains inventory information on filling materials and reports any shortages to supervisor.
- Follows 5S and Good Manufacturing procedures to maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws.
- Maintain inventory information on filling materials and report to supervisor any shortages.
- Follow directions as needed to complete order in a timely fashion.
- Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions.
- Must be able to see and distinguish between labels.
Qualifications and skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience, knowledge, and ability to operate forklift truck.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 400 pounds.
- Able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions.
- Able to see and distinguish between labels.
Compensation Information
The pay range for this position is $17.34 - $27.56 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
