About the role

Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. The Clark facility has two buildings: the North building has a fruitier smell and teams produce natural flavorings and essential oils; the South building has savory and garlic smells and teams produce seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy. Address: 160 Terminal Ave, Clark, NJ 07066.

Responsibilities

  • Follow procedures for system start‑up, operation, shutdown, cleaning, and batching.
  • Mix chemical and food batches, monitor and sample in accordance with SOPs, and record process and production data.
  • Troubleshoot dryer processes (work closely with Supervisors and Maintenance), assist with routine maintenance, and maintain the dryer in a clean work environment.
  • Oversee cleanup of the entire dryer system between products.
  • Ensure blends are placed into blending tanks correctly, utilizing process control sheets (weigh minor ingredients, double‑check item numbers, batch quantities, and lot numbers).
  • Complete all paperwork correctly and follow filling instructions for each order.
  • Operate pumps, mixers, and filters safely and efficiently.
  • Check brix and acid on the blend and adjust to meet customer specifications.
  • Complete Master Sanitation Sheet and assist with cleaning when needed.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., push up to a 450 lb. metal drum on a roller conveyor, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Follow proper housekeeping and sanitary GMP procedures to prevent product contamination; use clean tools and utensils and store or hang them properly.
  • Experience using a Manufacturing Execution System is a plus (SAP).
  • Ability to return material with necessary SSCC labels.
  • Ability to operate a computer and feel comfortable using two different HMI systems for operation (SAP and Wonderware).
  • Communication skills are a plus (able to report metrics on shift exchange).
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime over the weekend.
  • Other duties as required.

Pay

$27.00 per hour plus $1 shift differential.

Schedule

3rd Shift – This position follows a rotating 12‑hour Panama night shift schedule (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) that repeats every two weeks: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off. This schedule supports 24/7 operations while providing employees with predictable time off and every other weekend off for improved work‑life balance.
