About the role
The positions available are Technician- Automation I (A Crew), Technician- Maintenance II (Day Crew, Night Crew or M-F), Specialist- Workforce Development I, Coordinator- Equipment II, Technician- Manufacturing Engineer I, Engineer- Operations I, Human Resources Manager, Developer I- MES, and Manager- Shift.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing operations, assist with equipment implementation/startup, PLC/HMI programming, and troubleshooting/manufacturing process optimization for Technician- Automation I (A Crew).
- Perform, as directed, all necessary maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds, in a timely and cost-efficient manner for Technician- Maintenance II (Day Crew, Night Crew or M-F).
- Implement project tasks and activities required for workforce recruitment, training, and development of production operations and maintenance associates for Workforce Development Specialist I.
- Aid in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, and identify/implement system improvements for Equipment II.
- Assist in the installation and qualification of systems, troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, and identify/implement system improvements for Manufacturing Engineer I.
- Coordinate, schedule, and prioritize solar module manufacturing operations for Operations I.
- Utilize a broad spectrum of data sources to identify and implement improvements to manufacturing operations resulting in positive impact to factory performance metrics and employee health, satisfaction, and retention for Operations I.
- Ensure all human resources functions and activities run effectively and efficiently and in accordance with First Solar’s Code of Conduct, Behaviors & Core Values for Human Resources Manager.
- Design, develop, test, and implement manufacturing software systems, work with MES architect to ensure seamless integration, and provide support for MES systems and data architectures for MES Developer I.
- Control the plant floor, prioritize resources to optimize safety, quality, and throughput, and be ultimately responsible for all scheduling, system, and process improvements, and labor management for Shift Manager.
- Provide technical and professional leadership to the maintenance team and manage the engineering aspect of the maintenance process, use necessary engineering tools and programs to drive improvements, maintain preventive maintenance records, and publish reports for Equipment I.
