Technician- Automation I (A Crew) - Perrysburg, OH

Entry-level Automation Technician controls position supporting manufacturing operations, including equipment implementation/startup, PLC/HMI programming, and troubleshooting/optimization of manufacturing process control systems.

This is a PM shift position with a schedule of 6:00 PM – 6:10 AM, resulting in a rotating 36/48-hour work week. The schedule includes working every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations and assist with equipment implementation/startup.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems.
  • Optimize manufacturing process control systems.

Technician Manufacturing Engineering (PM Crew) - Perrysburg, OH

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control problems for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Test equipment and control functions for new systems established by the First Solar Controls department.
  • Download and implement software changes/upgrades specified by the Controls Dept. and maintain current software databases.
  • Assist IT with setup, installation, and testing of communication devices for PLCs.
  • Identify, research, and present solutions to control problems and continuous improvement projects.
  • Document and follow up on control-related issues.
  • Provide written documentation for proper testing of all projects submitted by the Controls Dept.
  • Assist new equipment commissioning technicians in verifying control system testing.
  • Interface with company and supplier representatives.
  • Maintain effective communication and foster teamwork.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Develop and implement new electrical preventative maintenance tasks, procedures, and schedules.
  • Troubleshoot robotic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Use Maximo for reporting and parts search.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Lead.

State Government Relations Manager - Trinity, AL

Responsibilities

  • Manage and advance state-level legislative and regulatory priorities across key jurisdictions.
  • Track relevant state actions and build relationships with policymakers, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with the organization’s broader government affairs strategy.

Administrator- Network I (1st Shift) - Gaffney, SC

Entry-level Network Administration role.

Buyer I (1st Shift) - Gaffney, SC

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchasing activities for assigned materials, services, and equipment, including obtaining bids and preparing purchase orders.
  • Ensure alignment with approved requisitions and standard terms and conditions.
  • Support supplier negotiations related to pricing, delivery, and terms to ensure cost-effective supply.
  • Assist in the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Maintain supply continuity by monitoring demand, placing orders, and adjusting delivery schedules.
  • Create and maintain accurate master data elements to support planning and purchase order execution.

Engineer- Quality I (1st Shift) - Gaffney, SC

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration, execution, and continual improvement of First Solar’s ISO 9001–certified Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Own the Calibration and Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) process.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain calibration and IQA-related procedures, work instructions, and processes.
  • Lead and maintain the site-wide Calibration Management System to ensure compliance of all inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE).
  • Support internal, external (ISO), customer, and third-party audits related to calibration, measurement systems, and quality compliance.
  • Maintain Incoming Quality Assurance activities, including inspection planning, supplier material verification, and nonconformance handling.
  • Maintain calibration records, documentation, and data integrity in compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
