About the role

The Manager Procurement, Gas & Building Services (Hybrid Schedule) position is responsible for leading strategic sourcing teams for the company's gas and building services areas. This role supports the company’s strategic direction and assists in building an organization that can expertly execute procurement processes.

Responsibilities

  • Champions strategic sourcing practices throughout the company
  • Building strategic working relationships with key internal and external partners
  • Develops, implements policy/procedures/system requirements for materials, supplies, equipment, services and major projects to achieve lowest total cost of ownership as well as mitigate risk for the corporation by establishing strategic sourcing teams
  • Reviews buyer analysis of market conditions and system requirements and determines timing of major procurement actions in consultation with internal requesters
  • Advises the user of Procurement tools (Ariba, Maximo, Oracle) and opportunities in the markets for their business
  • Manages and reviews strategic sourcing events, bidding and contract award process following corporate policies and procedures and are in alignment with strategic sourcing practices
  • Provides direction for the performance of supplier evaluations
  • Oversees the preparation of reports on procurement activities, including purchase orders, purchase contract negotiations, price quotations, vendor catalogs, aging of material requests, cost savings and avoidances reports, supplier engagement spend and vendor performance

Requirements

Minimum of ten (10) years related experience required which includes managerial, supervisory and/or team leadership experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar discipline or related experience. A Master’s degree in management or business is highly desired. Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code, latest supply chain/procurement techniques, utility industry knowledge, sourcing for civil construction and/or facilities construction, process improvement methods (e.g., Six Sigma), and strong analytical skills including the ability to draw sound conclusions and act decisively. Leadership and organizational development, advanced negotiation, ability to effectively lead, manage and develop an engaged workforce, extensive resourcefulness to anticipate, define and direct solutions to complex procurement issues, strong team membership as well as team building skills, strong customer focus, spoken and written communication skills, ability to institute, where applicable, current best practices in management, ability and willingness to initiate and manage change as needed, strong functional understanding of computerized business systems, and demonstrated skill with MS Office applications.

Qualifications

Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required and available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is $150,790.00-$167,540.00. Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change, based on managerial discretion and work performance.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $150,790.00-$167,540.00.
