About the role

The Manager-on-Deck is responsible for the overall financial and operational performance of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through expense control, human resource management, and maintaining high customer service standards. The role includes overseeing staff hiring, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations to foster a positive team environment. It also involves analyzing business trends, developing plans to meet sales and profit goals, and managing store assets and inventory. Additionally, the manager ensures store cleanliness, safety, and maintenance while adhering to policies and procedures.

Key duties

• Lead staff, set expectations, and ensure policy compliance.
• Analyze business metrics and implement strategies for growth.
• Manage store facilities, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Control expenses, oversee inventory, and ensure asset security.

Qualifications and skills

• Two or more years of management or automotive industry experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for coaching teams.
• Proven success in meeting sales and profit targets.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a State Inspector License.
• Ability to work physically, including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varied environmental conditions.
