About the role

The Manager‑on‑Deck is responsible for overseeing the overall performance of a store, including financial and operational aspects. Key duties involve establishing guest service standards, maximizing sales and profitability through expense and human‑resource management, and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team members, set expectations, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Recruit, interview, and evaluate staff performance.
• Analyze business trends to develop strategies for sales and profit growth.
• Manage store facilities, ensure cleanliness, and maintain equipment.
• Control expenses, review invoices, and safeguard assets.
• Ensure safety and adherence to environmental conditions, with physical demands such as standing, lifting, and operating in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of management or equivalent experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience in team leadership, meeting sales and profit goals, and effective communication.

Preferred qualifications

• Background as an automotive technician.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain or hold a State Inspector License.

Skills & Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate in environments with noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
