About the role

The Manager-on-Deck oversees store performance, focusing on financial and operational aspects to ensure maximum sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach team members, set expectations, and ensure compliance with policies through regular communication and training.
• Recruit, interview, and evaluate staff in partnership with HR.
• Analyze business trends, develop plans to meet sales and profit targets, and review invoices for growth opportunities.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and equipment upkeep.
• Control expenses, manage assets, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
• Ensure a safe work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• At least two years of management or comparable automotive industry experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Proven success in achieving sales and profit goals.
• Valid driver’s license; current or ability to obtain a State Inspector License within 30 days.
• Ability to work at least five days including weekends; minimum 18 years old.

Skills & Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate in a noisy, variable environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
